The developers provide a user group forum that includes free flying lessons. I live in country Australia and was able to undertake all my flight training from my local airport; all the landmarks were very familiar! A joystick is essential in my view (or yoke and foot pedals that I have not tried). I am using the product on my mid-2011 iMac and it has run flawlessly since installation. I have been notified of relevant software updates and new aircraft/airport releases. I might still be struggling with cross-wind takeoffs/landings but I am very happy with my investment.
I have no experience with other simulators so cannot provide and comparisons with other simulators. I highly recommend this product.
