Dell Xps 410 Drivers For Mac
I am using u.n.i.b.e.a.s.t where should I put the Ioatafamily.kext on the installer flash drive? Also once I put it on a flash drive wherever it needs to go do I need to repair permissions on the flash drive or can i just boot it up?
I own a Dell XPS 410/Dimension 9200 and the specs are as follows. A list of options to pass to the boot loader which loads the OSX software. Get user or pdf manual for your Dell XPS 410.
For all those who don't yet know our position about tonymac, and your url='software, your Forun, Tolls, links, thank you for reading p.s: pls read the forum!!! InsanelyMac doesn't support tonymac's tools.
Attempted 10.8 with my hack. I also put in the Generic Extra Folder and the IOATAFAMILY.Kext. For some reason when ever I add the IOATAFAMILY.Kext there is a Kernel Panic. When I try MYHACK without the IOATAFAMILY.KEXT it does not boot, it hangs on Bluetooth. When I boot with u.n.i.b.e.a.s.t it boots but there are no drives shown. And when I add the IOATAFAMILY.Kext to u.n.i.b.e.a.s.t it kernel panics.

What do I do? Attempted 10.8 with my hack.

Ok, I tried booting with -x -v -f and without the IOATAFAMILY.Kext and it booted with no drives shown. I tried booting with -x -v -f and with the IOATAFAMILY.Kext and it kernel panicked.
Also when I go into my bios for a second it said that my drive is controlled by the rain bios and that another bios (could not read because it disappeared so quickly) is not installed. So could it be that my drive is raid signed? It is the one that came with the pc from dell. Also could the problem be that I upgraded my CPU from a dual core to a quad core? Or could it be that I upgraded my PC from 2 GB's of ram to 6GB's of ram? I only think so because in the Kernel panic is said CPU(s) 4 and I was wondering if that had anything to do with the KP or if it was just listing my cpu specs.
Did the directions step by step. I did everything that it said and I still get a Kernel Panic On IOATAFAMILY.Kext. I am not sure if I used the right appleahciport.kext because I could not find one that had not been modified. I ran myhack, installed generic extra folder, and booted with PciRoot=4.
I have my bios set to Raid Autodetect / ATA. When I set it to raid the installer hangs on Bluetooth. I was not sure what to do with chameleon wizard so I skipped that part. What can I do? There are a lot of people on this fourm who have succeeded with this exact same pc so I can't understand why mine wont work I saw that you said to set raid setting to off. I do not see an option to do that, did you mean to set it to the setting that I did (Raid Autodetect/ ATA)? For the install I am using the card that is included originally with the XPS 410.
Auto tune efx 3 torrent. I can't find the model written on the card and I somehow corrupted my windows partition so I can not check in device manager. I believe its an Nvidia 7000 LE or something like that. After the install I plan to upgrade it with a Geforce GT430 which I am currently using in one of my other PC's. Also with myhack I can not boot the installer at all. The only way I can boot the installer is with u.n.i.b.e.a.s.t which I now know is not supported here. I will check for my PciRoot= now my other question, what should I do with the smbios do I need to create one? Also shoudl I have the bios set to raid or Autodetect?
I did some research and learned that Raid is AHCI. You are on your own if you proceed. This was created with the assumption that anyone following it would be using the SAME machine model and hardware setup as mine, a HP ENVY 17t-j000 Quad. It is merely a place to list my testing results. Consider this your one and ONLY warning. Continue at your OWN RISK. WARNING: thread history follows: (cloned from post HERE) RehabMan has been hard at work and has created a much better, more reliable method for both current and possibly future OS X installs. His new method, named the 'hotpatch' method is far superior to our old ones and should rightfully take its place. Following is a direct link to his detailed and extensive guide to assist both current and future users with their adventures in OS X. Should you find success using his method, please remember to say THANKS for his work and to possibly add to his growing repository to hopefully assist future users in their own success stories.
If you are looking to try on the very bleeding edge, then this is where you want to be. RehabMan 'hotpatch' guide README: The following files were created using very basic testing to ensure very basic functionality. I cannot possibly foresee or test for every possible setup scenario, so I don't even try to. There may be unforeseen problems or issues that I was unable to expect or resolve. Please try to keep this in mind should you decide to try them out.
Hopefully, someone finds them useful. I cannot and do not speak for Andrw0308's specific support files.
I loaded XP SP2 on this Dell XPS 410 and I had to download the main drivers, I did the Chipset first then the video and Network, the audio doesn't work so I am guessing the integrated audio is damaged becuse iit does not accept the audio drivers when I try to install it, there are still 3 'yellowed items in the Device Manager PCI Device PCI Simple Communications Controller Unknown Device The drivers for this system can be found here, can anyone help me identify the correct drivers for these 3 items please? I don't know why Dell simply can't $%$&^%$^%$$% list just the one driver for a device, why in the Bleepety-bleep-bleep must there be 17 entries for the Video alone?

Are you sure you have integrated audio, and not an add-in audio card? And there are 3 integrated audio drivers listed for this system. One is Integrated Audigy invitation, an other is Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED HD Audio, and there's also SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio.
So did you load the correct driver? And the correct installation order for this system is: XP Desktop System Software (here: Chipset driver Video Driver etc 'PCI Device PCI Simple Communications Controller Unknown Device' suggests that a modem driver may be missing.
Two are listed so you'll have to figure out which one you have. Go here and put in your service tag number for a list of factory installed hardware: If you haven't reformatted the hard drive, press F12 before XP starts to load and go to Utilities partition. Run the sound tests to see if the audio has failed. Ron Message Edited by RoHe on 06:05 PM.
